Jolie Atkins

Hello,

I attended church at Black Mountain Presbyterian with Pat.  On the day I started coming with my oldest son Nolan, age 3 at the time, we sat down in front of Pat and Mary.  They introduced themselves and made us feel welcome right away.  From then on we sat in front of them every time because we knew that we would always have a gentle friend in Pat and that Mary would take good care of Nolan, leading him to children's worship.  Pat has always been kind to me, never forgotten mine or Nolan's names, and made us feel like we belonged there. When Pat had surgery on his eye, Nolan was very concerned and reminded me that we needed to pray for Pat every night, and we did.  Nolan and I will miss Pat's presence in church, but we will always remember his warmth.   Condolences to Mary, Pat's children, and the rest of his family.

Sincerely,

Jolie Atkins
